In the next 12 months, accounting in the United States will change forever. While most financial professionals are aware of the impact that International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) have on public companies, many are not sensitive to the potential changes resulting from FASB's convergence project and the effect of proposed accounting standards for nonpublic companies. This course focuses on the open convergence issues of the FASB. Regardless of whether IFRS becomes the basis for U.S. accounting standards, these issues will impact activities well beyond financial reporting. Awareness of IFRS adoption efforts by the SEC is one thing; understanding how FASB's convergence project can affect your company is a very different issue. You cannot afford to miss this critical, entertaining and interactive course.
